COMPTE-RENDU DE PROCÈS – TRIALS
Le 1/9/2023 le Professeur Gilles-Eric SERALINI attaquait en diffamation trois « journalistes » pour l’avoir traité de fraudeur à de nombreuses reprises, ou pour l’avoir accusé d’avoir commis la « pire tromperie scientifique de ces dix dernières années », à la télévision et dans les réseaux sociaux. C’était au sujet d’un reportage d’Envoyé Spécial qui expliquait notamment ses travaux sur l’herbicide le plus utilisé dans le monde. Son nom commercial est le Roundup, de Monsanto-Bayer, il contient certes du glyphosate, mais aussi avec lui de nombreux poisons non déclarés, comme des résidus de pétrole et d’arsenic, très cancérogènes, ce qui a été démontré par l’équipe du chercheur.
Cet enjeu domine toujours la ré-autorisation du « glyphosate » seul, qui au vu de cette connaissance publiée depuis n’a alors aucun sens, sinon démontrer le pouvoir et les malversations des lobbys révélés par les Monsanto Papers, car cela rend ce glyphosate au moins mille fois plus toxique quand il est dans l’herbicide complet, mais il n’est jamais règlementairement testé, grave lacune des autorités acceptant les données de Monsanto. La Compagnie teste frauduleusement le glyphosate seul dans les études de toxicité à long terme.
Les agences sanitaires et les médias se rendent ainsi complices de cette ignorance feinte. Or, Géraldine Woessner, Olivier Lesgourgues dit Mac Lesggy, et Patrick Cohen, les diffamateurs, ont été relaxés pour « bonne foi ». Il est vrai qu’ils avouent ne pas lire les publications scientifiques, ne pas en avoir les compétences, sur un sujet sur lequel ils s’expriment pourtant, et censé les intéresser. Ils ne connaissent pas non plus visiblement au Tribunal l’histoire des Monsanto Papers, ni les procès pour les 100.000 victimes du Roundup qui ont gagné aux Etats Unis contre la firme. Leur « bonne foi » proviendrait des critiques faites à l’encontre d’une étude de 2012 du Pr. Seralini, mettant en évidence des tumeurs chez les rats consommant des OGM ! Contre ces critiques, il a déjà gagné sept fois en procès jusqu’en 2017.
Mais il se trouve que cette publication alors vivement vilipendée par les académies qui se faisaient les chantres des OGM, la seule chose qui a fait débat, contenait aussi l’unique étude de toxicologie à long terme à ce jour et depuis 2012 réalisée sur le Roundup seul, consommé sans OGM à de très faibles doses, ce que peu ont su analyser, sauf au niveau statistique un membre de l’académie des sciences justement, le seul mathématicien-statisticien membre, le Pr. Paul Deheuvels, lequel a témoigné par écrit, l’a même publié, mais n’a pas été pris en compte. Il est vrai qu’un autre membre de l’académie des sciences, le Pr. Yvon Le Maho, est venu témoigner en faveur du Pr. Seralini de la très petite minorité responsable à la hâte des avis critiques des académies, qui n’ont pas consulté l’avis général de leurs assemblées, lesquelles n’étaient pas unanimes du tout, donc. Le Pr. Seralini avait gagné sept procès en diffamation auparavant, sur ce même sujet. Mais là, oublis et déformations partiales. On lui reproche aussi une « surmédiatisation orchestrée » alors que le coup mondial est parti tout seul, puisque c’est un sujet historique.
L’équipe du chercheur a aussi confirmé, vérifié, détaillé et compris, l’effet toxique du Roundup, seul ou consommé dans les OGM modifiés pour l’absorber en quantité. C’est grave. « Aucune fraude scientifique ne m’a été reprochée mais un « manque » d’« éthique scientifique  !! Ne pas savoir se coucher devant les autorités ? » D’ailleurs, l’enjeu crucial de santé publique a été maintes fois précisé dans les procès. Les diffamateurs ont aussi évoqué, pour attester de leurs critiques, l’accord de confidentialité avant la publication de ses travaux, que le Pr. Seralini avait effectivement mis en place pour éviter que les avocats des lobbys ne bloquent aux Etats-Unis la publication. On a reproché l’absence de photos des rats témoins, qui ressemblent banalement à des rats, sans que la communauté politique, scientifique, et médiatique ne s’interroge du tout sur la confidentialité et les effets du Roundup trouvés par Monsanto-Bayer, compagnie qui n’a jamais testé ce produit à long terme chez les mammifères de manière équivalente.
Bref, c’est à rire ou à pleurer. Ce n’est certainement pas à la justice de trancher la science. On leur demandait juste de voir l’injustice. Il s’agissait aussi d’objectiver le travail des lobbys : le tout premier qui a traité le Pr. Seralini de fraudeur, quelques jours après sa publication de 2012, et cela a été montré dès cette époque dans les procès que le Pr. Seralini a gagnés, est Henry Miller, filmé dans ledit reportage d’Envoyé Spécial. Miller a été dépublié du Magazine Forbes pour milliardaires où il l’avait écrit, parce qu’il avait recopié sous sa plume et sur leur demande les arguments diffamateurs de Monsanto contre le Pr. Seralini. Cela a été prouvé dans les Monsanto Papers obtenus par la justice américaine, ce que les avocats des prévenus appellent « fuités ». En France, les mis en examen des présents procès, des répétiteurs, sont affiliés à l’AFIS (Association Française pour l’Information Scientifique) tout comme un des témoins présents ayant écrit contre le Pr. Seralini, Marcel Kuntz, et ils ont tous également les mêmes critiques contre le Pr. Seralini, et généralistes, que le Science Media Center de Londres, agence de communication, ainsi que de Monsanto-Bayer : ils soutiennent notamment l’agriculture chimique intensive, les OGM, le nucléaire ; ils s’entraident pour cela, par exemple Cohen a favorisé l’embauche de Woessner à la radio. A l’AFIS, on trouve aussi Marc Fellous déjà condamné pour diffamation envers le Pr. Seralini, président de l’association d’évaluation des OGM de l’époque, et l’AFIS est un lobby noté 5/5 dans les fichiers Monsanto de Fleishman Hillard, révélés par Envoyé Spécial. Le Pr. Seralini ne fera pas appel. Il doit poursuivre des projets de recherche.

TRIALS
On 1/9/2023, Professor Gilles-Eric SERALINI sued three « journalists » for defamation for having called him a fraudster on numerous occasions, or for having accused him of having committed the « worst scientific deception of the last ten years », on television and on social networks. It was about a report by a main French TV program Envoyé Spécial that explained his work on the most widely used herbicide in the world. Its trade name is Monsanto-Bayer’s Roundup, which contains glyphosate, but also contains many undeclared poisons, such as oil and arsenic residues, which are highly carcinogenic, as it has been demonstrated by the researcher’s team.
This issue still dominates the re-authorization of « glyphosate » alone which, in view of this knowledge published, makes no sense, except to demonstrate the power and malfeasance of the lobbies revealed by the Monsanto Papers, because it makes this glyphosate at least a thousand times more toxic when it is in the complete herbicide, but it is never legally tested, a serious shortcoming of the authorities accepting Monsanto’s data. The Company fraudulently tests glyphosate alone in long-term toxicology studies.
Health agencies and the media are thus complicit in this feigned ignorance. However, Géraldine Woessner, Olivier Lesgourgues, known as Mac Lesggy, and Patrick Cohen, the slanderers, were acquitted for « good faith ». It is true that they admit that they do not read scientific publications, that they do not have the skills to do so, on a subject on which they express themselves, and which are supposed to interest them. Nor do they visibly know the story of the Monsanto Papers, nor the trials for the 100,000 Roundup victims who won in the United States against the company. Their « good faith » stems from the criticism of a 2012 study by Prof. Seralini, highlighting tumors in rats consuming GMOs! Against these critics, he has already won seven times in court until 2017.
But it turns out that this publication, which was strongly vilified at the time by the academies that were the champions of GMOs, the only thing that has been debated, also contained the only long-term toxicology study to date and since 2012 carried out on Roundup alone, consumed without GMOs in very low doses, which few have been able to analyze, except at the statistical level by a member of the French Academy of Sciences, the only mathematician-statistician member, Prof. Paul Deheuvels. He testified that in writing, even published the demonstration, but was not considered. It is true that another member of the Academy of Sciences, Prof. Yvon Le Maho, came to testify in favor of Prof. Seralini on the very small minority responsible for the hasty critical opinions of the academies, which did not consult the general opinion of their assemblies, which were not unanimous at all. Prof. Seralini had won already seven defamation cases before on the same subject. But here, forgetfulness and biased distortions. It is also accused of an « orchestrated media over-hype » when the global coup went off on its own, since it is a historical subject.
The researcher’s team has also confirmed, verified, detailed, and understood the toxic effect of Roundup, alone or consumed in GMOs modified to absorb it in quantity. This is serious.
« I have not been accused of any scientific fraud but a ‘lack’ of ‘scientific ethics’!! Not knowing how to lie down in front of the authorities?” Moreover, the crucial public health issue has been repeatedly stated in the trials. The slanderers also referred to the confidentiality agreement before the publication of his work, which Prof. Seralini had effectively put in place to prevent lobby lawyers from blocking publication in the United States. The absence of photos of the control rats, which look like rats, has also been criticized, without the political, scientific and media community questioning at all the confidentiality and effects of Roundup found by Monsanto-Bayer, a company that has never tested this product in the long term in mammals in an equivalent way.
In short, it’s either laugh or cry. It is certainly not up to the courts to decide the science. They were just being asked to see the injustice. It was also a question of objectifying the work of the lobbies: the very first person who called Prof. Seralini a fraudster, a few days after its publication in 2012, and this was shown at that time in the lawsuits that Prof. Seralini won, was Henry Miller, filmed in the said Envoyé Spécial TV show. Miller was removed from Forbes Magazine for billionaires, where he had written it, because he had copied Monsanto’s defamatory arguments against Professor Seralini at his pen and at their request. This has been proven in the Monsanto Papers obtained by the U.S. Justice Department, what the defendants’ lawyers call « leaked. » In France, the defendants of the present trials, repeaters, are affiliated with the AFIS (French Association for Scientific Information) as well as one of the witnesses present who wrote against Pr. Seralini, Marcel Kuntz, and they all also have the same criticisms against Pr. Seralini, and generalists, as the Science Media Center of London, communication agency, as well as Monsanto-Bayer: in particular, they support intensive chemical agriculture, GMOs, nuclear power; they help each other with this, for example Cohen favored the hiring of Woessner at the radio. At AFIS, we also find Marc Fellous, already convicted of defamation against Prof. Seralini, president of the association for the evaluation of GMOs at the time, and AFIS is a lobby rated 5/5 in Fleishman Hillard’s Monsanto files, revealed by Envoyé Spécial. Prof. Seralini will not appeal. He must pursue his research projects.
